Apple vs Mobvoi Ticwatch Smartwatches

Mobvoi's Ticwatch series of smartwatches make great entry level smartwatches that are really good introductory watches, but the Apple Watch is a premium smartwatch.

Apple Watch Series 6 vs Ticwatch Pro 3

The Apple Watch Series 6 and the Ticwatch Pro 3 are neck and neck in terms of features but the elegance and superior integration of the Apple Watch Series 6 really just allows it to completely beat the Ticwatch Pro 3.

That’s not to say that the Ticwatch Pro 3 has no saving graces. It’s a great smartwatch that is more affordable, has better battery life and is compatible with Apple iPhones as well as Android phones (all Apple Watches will only pair with Apple iPhones).

There are also some things that the Apple Watch Series 6 can do that the Ticwatch Pro 3 can’t such as messaging and calls when paired to an iPhone. That’s pretty important.

Apple Watch Series 5 vs TicWatch Pro

Meh… this really doesn’t deserve too much talk.

The Ticwatch Pro was an OK smartwatch back when it was still the best of Mobvoi’s smartwatch offerings, but right now I can say it’s very obsolete.

But I couldn’t say the same for the Apple Watch Series 5, which is still a very current smartwatch. If you can find it, that is.

The Apple Watch Series 5 is a very smooth running smartwatch with minimal lag and lots of great, integrated features, whereas the Ticwatch Pro is a major pain to use sometimes with its obsolete hardware — the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100. Let’s put it this way: the Ticwatch Pro 3, its successor, has the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100, which makes the Ticwatch Pro 3 an amazing smartwatch.

It’s 2021. Let’s leave the Ticwatch Pro as a relic of the pre-pandemic era.

Apple Watch Series 5 vs Ticwatch E2

If you want a basic smartwatch that’s affordable, has a full day’s worth of battery life and has a very capable amount of smart features, then you can’t go wrong with the Ticwatch E2.

I would recommend the Ticwatch E2 to everyone who just wants a watch that has smart features and only because, regrettably, the Fossil Sport Smartwatch has such poor battery life.

The Apple Watch Series 5 is on another level as compared to the Ticwatch E2. I think if you’re fully committed to getting a good smartwatch then you should go all in with the Apple Watch Series 5 because it’s just so much better in design and integration with iPhones.

Ticwatch S2 vs Apple Watch Series 5

The Ticwatch S2 is really not that much different from the Ticwatch E2. Besides a little different in the watch case, the Ticwatch S2 has a MIL-STD-810G rating that shows it has been tested in harsher conditions.

Let me put it this way: if you want a hardcore smartwatch with the equivalent tolerance for pain as Bear Grylls, get a Garmin Fenix 6.b Otherwise, I really didn’t see a good argument for the Ticwatch S2.

But if you get a Ticwatch S2, it still offers great value for money because it’s built on Google’s Wear OS platform which means you get access to many useful apps and Google Assistant.

The Apple Watch Series 5 is on another level, though. It’s definitely not ostensibly as “hardy” as the Ticwatch S2, but in what it sacrifices for hardiness, it gains in a modern design, speed and great integration with the iPhone.

Ticwatch C2 vs Apple Watch Series 5

The Ticwatch C2 is the chic version of Mobvoi’s Ticwatch entry level line and I really like it. It’s compact and has a very nice metallic rim. It’s a bit thicker than the Fossil Sport Smartwatch but the good thing is that the Ticwatch C2 can reliably last one full day.

In terms of volume, it’s about the same size as the Apple Watch Series 5, although the Apple Watch Series 5 takes on a curved-edge design while the Ticwatch C2 takes on a circular watch case.

Software-wise, the Ticwatch C2 runs on the same software as all of its sibling including Google’s Wear OS which is perfect for an entry level user but the Apple Watch Series 5 is a premium smartwatch that has all the advantages of a high end smartwatch, in addition to its benefits of easy connection to the Apple iPhone that the Ticwatch C2 doesn’t have.
