Mobvoi Ticwatch vs Fitbit Smartwatches

Mobvoi and Fitbit have great smartwatches but in essence, they are really meant for different types of users.

Ticwatch Pro 3 vs Fitbit Versa 3

The Fitbit Versa 3 really got upgraded in late 2020 just as Mobvoi released its best smartwatch (and a real category one-upper).What I’m saying is that the Ticwatch Pro 3 is an amazing smartwatch that is kinda hard to beat.

But the Fitbit Versa 3 offers a lot to the average consumer that is kinda hard to deny.

For one, the Versa 3 offers some of the best consumer grade health analysis. The Fitbit Versa 3 is a bit like a OBD2 port for your car. Wear it and it will tell you things about your health over time.

The Ticwatch Pro 3 isn’t far off but when it comes to completeness of experience, the Fitbit Versa 3 is much better.

But the Ticwatch Pro 3 is overall a better workhorse because of its Wear OS platform which opens up some doors that the Versa 3 just can’t even see.

For example, Google Maps isn’t on the Fitbit OS.

But with the latest update to the Fitbit Versa 3, you can now use Google Assistant and also answer calls on the Versa 3.

But you can’t make calls like you could on the Ticwatch Pro 3.

Ticwatch Pro 3 vs Fitbit Sense

The Fitbit Sense is the ultimate Fitbit as of 2020.

It has all the features Fitbit can throw into a small package (the same size as the Versa 3).

What you get when you pay the premium to go one step up from the Fitbit Versa 3 is a few extra features such as a special rim on the watch case that tracks stress responses and skin temperature monitoring.

The Ticwatch Pro 3 does not have these two features, but as compared to the average Wear OS smartwatch, the Ticwatch Pro 3 has many features that the Fitbit Sense doesn’t.

For example, on the Ticwatch Pro 3, you can make and take calls right on your wrist. The Fitbit Sense is only able to accept calls but can’t make outgoing calls.

The Ticwatch Pro 3 also has a larger app store, has a dual-layer screen and is very, very fast because of its class-leading Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor.

Ticwatch C2 vs Fitbit Versa 2

Ticwatch C2 vs Fitbit Versa 2

When you buy a Fitbit smartwatch, what you’re saying is that you prefer a smartwatch that looks modern. Think about how Samsung’s high end smartphones all come with rounded edges on both the corners and the display’s glass. This is the aesthetic that the Fitbit Versa 2 subscribes to.

Whereas the Ticwatch C2 goes for a more classic look. It has a nice shiny rim on the watch case and a nice beige strap.

The biggest difference in functionality between them is that the Fitbit Versa 2 comes with the Fitbit OS which is geared to help you improve your health and lifestyle. Accompanied by the Fitbit app, you will have a good toolset that will nudge you to improve your health.

The Ticwatch C2 is a bit more of a workhorse than a personal trainer. It will help you be more productive because it has a bigger app store and Google Assistant.

The Versa 2 does not have Google Assistant. Rather, it has Alexa, which isn’t as good as Google Assistant. Fitbit did not update the Versa 2 with the update the newer Versa 3 and Sense watches have that grants the user a choice between Google Assistant and Alexa.

Nonetheless, you can’t go wrong with either smartwatch, but the Fitbit Versa 2 is really better as a smartwatch for health-focused folks while the Ticwatch C2 is a better smartwatch for productivity-focused folks.

Ticwatch S2 vs Fitbit Versa 2

Mobvoi’s Ticwatch S2 is supposedly a hardy smartwatch that is meant for hardcore outdoors people. The Ticwatch S2 features people going mountaineering and the watch has the MIL-STD-810G military ruggedness standard. A thick bezel ensures the screen is protected from knocks.

The Fitbit Versa 2 is a bit less hardy but it’s a lot more fashionable. It has a pretty nice rounded edge and also curved edge display. It’s at the forefront of edgy design.

As to the Ticwatch S2’s hardcore sport credentials, it’s battery life will limit you. I wouldn’t trust it to last over a day and a bit in normal circumstances and definitely even less so in extreme temperatures.

Ticwatch E2 vs Fitbit Versa 2

I have always said that the Ticwatch E2 is THE smartwatch to buy if you want an entry level smartwatch. There are other entry level smartwatches out there in the market but I think the Ticwatch E2 is the best among them because it offers good battery life, OK-ish performance and a pretty large screen.

The Fitbit Versa 2 is a bit of a step up as compared to the Ticwatch E2. It was once the premium tier Fitbit smartwatch, after all.

But because both smartwatches are built on different operating systems, they really do have their own advantages.

The Fitbit Versa 2’s advantage comes in its fitness oriented Fitbit OS. Its battery life is also pretty epic, lasting multiple days as compared to the Ticwatch E2, which can safely do one day.

The E2 is bigger and you might not like it. The Fitbit Versa 2 is smaller, slimmer and lighter. It’s really a lot better to wear overnight.

TicWatch Pro vs Fitbit Versa 2

Yeah, no.

I like it when people say that. The “yeah” creates the irony of following up with a “no.”

If I had to expand on what “yeah, no” means. I would elaborate it to, “yeah, they were good watches once, but now they’re no longer that competitive.”

This is especially true for the Ticwatch Pro, which now looks like a previous generation car… which has really lost its lustre over time. It certainly didn’t hold its value like a Toyota.

Whereas the Fitbit Versa 2 is a much better smartwatch because it has held up better. Firstly because its successors (the Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3) haven’t been super major upgrades as the Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS has been in relation to the Ticwatch Pro.

The Ticwatch Pro is a pretty hunkin’ and chonky smartwatch that you might not be into. Its one of the few smartwatches out there to feature a mostly metal watch case, including on its rear. You’ll really notice it when you lift it up. By comparison, the Fitbit Versa 2 feels like you’re holding a Cheeto.

The Fitbit Versa 2 is a much better smartwatch if you want a fitness oriented smartwatch too. The whole Fitbit OS is geared towards helping you improve your health and lifestyle.

Whereas the Ticwatch Pro is meant for productivity. It’ll help you get things done faster with its Google apps such as Google Translate or Google Assistant.
